V-Power Shell Suitable for Supercars, City Cars Too?
There is even an assumption that Shell’s proprietary fuel is perfect for supercars. Is that right?
Shell itself has two common products that are always available at Shell’s petrol stations. Namely Super and V-Power, both of which have RON 92 and 95. But, apart from being high-octane, V-Power also has a technology called Dynaflex.
„Supercars are recommended to use fuel with RON 95 and above. Well, Shell V-Power also has RON 95. There are already manufacturers that recommend using Shell, namely Ferrari and BMW, which includes supercars,“ explained the Fuel Marketing Manager. Shell Indonesia, Ratna Anggraini, during the inauguration of the Shell Kawi gas station, in Malang City, Friday (15/3/2019).
The Dybaflex formulation contained in Shell V-Power is the newest technology launched by Shell globally. Dynaflex has two functions for vehicles.
First, this technology can clean up to 80 percent. For example, if a car is 2 to 3 years old, it usually has a pile of deposits. Then V-Power can help clean up to 80 percent.
„One time filling using V-Power can clean up to 80 percent. But the condition is that the contents must be V-Power, not mixed with other fuels. We recommend that everything is pure V-Power, so that the benefits are perfect,“ added Ratna.
The second advantage, Shell V-Power can modify friction. This is so that the car does not heat up quickly.
„Now these two advantages make our vehicles more efficient, and their performance is more optimal,“ he continued.
But there is also an opinion that says that Shell V-Power is not suitable for ordinary cars. Moreover, cars that only need 90 or 92 octane fuel. Because, if forced it will actually make the vehicle heat up quickly due to excess RON.
What happens if Shell V-Power is applied to vehicles that generally only need RON between 90-92? Is it true that the issue can make the vehicle heat up quickly due to excess RON?
„So far there have been no problems. Because city cars also use quite a lot of V-Power. Actually, if it gets hot quickly, there’s no proof, right? Because the proof is that city cars (not supercars) have been safe so far,“ said Ratna and don’t forget to visit our site to get interesting information by visit us
