Red Wine
Produced from the fermentation process of red wine by including grape skins and seeds.
White Wine
Produced from the fermentation process of white wine without including the skin and seeds of grapes.
Pink wine
Wine is made from red grapes by subjecting the grape skins to a short fermentation process, between 2-3 hours before the grape skins are removed. A brief touch of grape skin gives rose wine its soft red hue.
Dessert Wine
It is called that because it is often served with dessert. This wine uses white grapes that are very ripe so that they produce a sweet taste because they contain a lot of fermented sugar residue. Due to its sweet taste, dessert wine is also known as sweet wine.
Fortified wine
Wine containing higher levels of alcohol than regular wine. Fortified wines come from natural grapes that have been boosted by adding zest or brandy to them. Also known as aperitif wine because this type of wine is often drunk before meals. Fortified wine is also often used as a mixture in food recipes or for mixed cocktails. Sherry, Port and Madeira are types of fortified wines.
Aromatic Grapes
Basically, it is a fortified wine to which spices, herbs, flowers, or fruit skins have been added through a process of distillation or distillation. Flavored wines are also alcoholic beverage wines and these include Vermouth, Bitters and Anises.
